PARTICIPATE

BOULDERS

It is possible to support the Garden of Destiny by contributing your personal gray boulder (20 – 30 cm in diameter) for the boulders' formation in the amphitheater. You are invited to bring these boulders to the Garden of Destiny (near the poster in the parking lot). We ask that you submit information about each boulder  – where it is from, who it is from and in whose honor it is being given - either on site or by email (info@koknesesfonds.lv). To view a list of people who have contributed boulders to date, click here.

The Garden of Destiny amphitheater is also in need of large boulders for the center boulders' formation near the Daugava (for size see the table below). We invite you to send photographs and descriptions along with dimensions of these boulders electronically to info@koknesesfonds.lv or by mail to „Koknese Foundation”, 75-III Lacplesa Street, Riga, LV-1011.
We ask that you inform us of the location of the bolulder and the landowner’s telephone number. Please tell us only about bolders it is possible to move and transport. They should be boulders that can be reached by heavy equipment and whose landowners nor the Office of the Protection of National Monuments object to their transportation to the Garden of Destiny.

OTHER OPTIONS

Vilis Vitols, Chairman of the Board

Things are not going easily at the moment, but with your help we will continue to build the Garden of Destiny – relentlessly and irreversibly. We are attempting to complete it as a gift to Latvia on her 100th birthday. If by chance we do not complete it on time, there is no cause for concern. Construction of St. Peter’s Church in Riga took a total of 282 years. It will not take us that long.

Latvian Association of Australia and New Zealand Latvians in Australia and New Zealand are but a small part of our far-strewn Latvian nation. Let us remember all of those lost to Latvia in various parts of the world
